It was only last year that the Information Technology and Media team (I.T. & M) set up a new IT classroom in Footscray with supporting infrastructure. This year, the I.T. & M team installed a server for the Community Aged Care Packages (CACP) program, purchased and updated laptops and desktops for old and new employees.

Over the past year, the I.T. & M team also took a lead role with regards to the production of the AVWA sponsored Vietnamese version of the book “ Voyage of hope” by Dr Nathalie Nguyen. We also continue to publish and distribute the Ban Tin (newsletter),the production of which is being done entirely in house now, halving printing cost. This has been achieved through the updating of all AVWA office printers reducing down time and maintenance costs for the organisation.

The I.T & Media Team aims at continuing to oversee the CACP software implementation as well as upgrade and renew existing infrastructure including the installation of a new server for the accounts team so that financial paperwork can be processed more efficiently.
