ANNUAL REPORT 2012-2013

The Australian Vietnamese Women’s Association in collaboration with other registered training organisations delivers a range of courses such as Children’s Services, Aged Care, Job Search,  Resume Building and Interview Preparation, Essential Computer, Email and Internet, etc...

By attending our courses, students are able to obtain qualifications such as diplomas and certificates, broaden their knowledge, improve their skills but also have the opportunity to interact with fellow students and have work experience in different settings.

Mr. Sinh Van Tran – Essential Computer, Email and Internet course

“I am very happy as I learnt a lot from this course. I am able to communicate with my relatives, and old friends in the army by email and Facebook. Knowing how to use Microsoft Word and email helps me run my family business more easily. Although my work shift is scheduled from 1.00am to 9.00am, I attended all sessions of the course without fail. In the near future, I hope to study a higher level computer course with the Australian Vietnamese Women’s Association as I appreciate the convenient training facilities and the joyful training atmosphere at AVWA.”

“Thanks to the AVWA, I learnt and improved my skills and knowledge in both theory and practice on how to care for aged people, especially my close relatives. Besides, I am in a good position to find a job after graduation.
