Reconnect Program
- Are you 17-64 years of age, leaving school early without Year 12 qualification or equivalent?
- Do your current social and family barriers step you back from your aspiration?
- Have you been out-of-work for more than 12 months?
- Do you desire for a qualification or better career pathways?
Let’s register into the Skills First Reconnect Program(*) in Australian Vietnamese Women’s Association (AVWA) Inc. This mentoring program provides one-on-one support to young school leavers and long-term unemployed people to re-engage with education or employment.
The bilingual Reconnect mentors working in AVWA are willing to:
- Support high needs learners in the areas of Brimbank, Maribyrnong and Greater Dandenong in partnership with internal community centres.
- Help those learners to identify and address their current skills, learning and employment needs.
- Provide access to pre-accredited courses and appropriate supports enabling them topursue one accredited course;
- Refer to one nationally accredited training course or employment pathways
